A quick update for customers across Earlston and the Scottish Borders.
Hirst Locksmiths will be taking a temporary break from emergency locksmith call-outs from 8 October 2026.
That doesn’t mean customers cannot get in touch. Danny Hirst will still be checking messages when possible, and customers can contact Hirst Locksmiths by WhatsApp, text, Facebook Messenger or email.
The phone will also be monitored sporadically, although messaging is likely to be the easiest way to make contact.
If you have locksmith work that needs doing but is not an emergency, appointments can be arranged for 19 October 2026 onwards.
All messages received during the closure will be replied to as soon as possible.
