Call out to Lauder tonight for a front door that wouldn’t lock. The issue was the gearbox and locking strip had completely failed. Due to not having a suitable replacement, I needed to adapt what I had available to get the door to a state of being able to lock and be unlocked in an emergency. I am glad to say the door is now locked (so the house is secure) and the door can open if needed in an emergency ✅. The new parts will be ordered tonight and will be here by the start of the week for me to fit.
