Danny Hirst of Hirst Locksmiths had a lengthy booked appointment at Aikwood Tower just outside Selkirk this morning. The holiday let owner wanted the old sash locks changed for thumb turn cylinders but wanted the new locks to be black and in keeping with the old doors. I think you will agree, they finish the door off nicely. 😃
After finishing there and on his way to Tweedbank to do a favour for another Borders Locksmith, Danny had a call out to a holiday let in Lilliesleaf for a couple that had locked the door with the keys inside. After a few minutes they were in and able to carry on enjoying their holiday.
The Tweedbank job was a simple door adjustment. Due to the heat recently, doors may start to stick or fail to lock correctly. If you encounter this problem, get in touch before the issue worsens.
