I finished the busy week by covering 94 miles around the Scottish Borders today! I started the morning south of #jedburgh to fit two thumb turns and a deadbolt mortice lock on a lovely holiday let in the middle of a forest! 🌳 🌳🌳
The next job was in #tweedbank to fit a gearbox at a property I was at yesterday that had a deadlocked back door. The customer was pleasantly surprised at the quick turn around of ordering parts to fitting them. 😃
What I thought was going to be my last job, was in #earlston (my home town). Here, I serviced a locking strip and replaced a euro cylinder. After the service and fitting of new lock, the difference in locking/unlocking the door is night and day!
Whilst on my last job, I got a phone call. It was an emergency call out to #innerleithern for a customer that was heading out to work, but his door wouldn’t lock. I headed over straight away. Shortly after arriving I found the fault to be a failed gearbox. I fitted a temporary mechanism for over the weekend so the customer could get to work and keep his property secure. A new gearbox is on order and will be fitted early next week.
