Hirst Locksmiths is getting about at the moment for plenty of jobs. Today I had a great view of the Eildons on a garage door job in Darnick for the last job of the day.
The most common jobs at the moment seem to be doors in a deadlocked state (I had two today). This is when the gearbox and/or locking strip mechanism has gone into complete lock down. Though in some instances it can be a bit of a head scratch moment to get them open, I do get them all open. So don’t fear, just get in touch if you find yourself in a position where the door just won’t do anything (in the locked or unlocked position).
Over the last month or so I’ve had a number of safes to open. Unfortunately the customers safe today had completely failed. After removing the snapped key and then removing the cylinder, the safe was in complete lockdown. The customer needed the lock open so I had to forcibly remove the door.
