Today Danny Hirst was in Duns for two jobs and the last job was in Lilliesleaf. The first job was to replace a mortice sash lock that was no longer reliable so needed changing.
The second job was a big one! The customer wanted the three external doors to have the current mortice sash looks replaced with thumb turn cylinders. This meant that the new mortice locks needed to accept euro profile cylinders. The handles also needed replacing for this reason. The customer also wanted a deadbolt lock fitted to a cupboard door and the back gate adjusting to stop banging in the wind.
Hirst Locksmiths last job of the day was in Lilliesleaf to fit a couple of keyway escutcheons.
