Today I got to visit the East of the Borders for my appointment bookings. The day started in Berwick Upon Tweed for a UPVC door which had a seized top hook. Once opened, I ensured the door can be locked/unlocked until the new parts arrive in a couple of days.
Second appointment of the day was in Ayton at a stunning property. The grand imposing front doors have an existing old style thumb turn lock that the customer wants to have back in use. After stripping the lock down and taking some measurements, I now have all the information I need to order the relevant parts.
Last job of the day was in Duns for a mortice lock change on the back door of the customers property. The need for replacing it was to ensure the lock was compliant with the insurance company policy.
