Where has the first half of this week gone?? 😅

Busy is an understatement! Yesterday I finally got round to doing some handyman jobs for a previous customer I had changed a lock for in Selkirk. Though the handyman jobs is something I don’t advertise, it is a service I can provide if not busy with locksmith jobs. At the moment I am very busy locksmithing (which is great), so had to squeeze in time for putting up blinds and some other small jobs. I’m actually going back there again next week ⚒️ 🛠.

This morning, I attended an appointment booking in Maxton. The customer said it was becoming more difficult to lock the door, with it failing completely this morning. The issue ended up being a failed gearbox which has unfortunately been discontinued. A suitable replacement has been ordered, with a temporary gearbox fitted so the door can be locked until the new one is fitted.

Later this morning I attended a job in Galashiels to replace a euro cylinder. Thankfully the customer had booked with me as the cylinder was on its last legs and was going to fail immanently.

Two more jobs came up within minutes of each other not long after lunch. More spookily, both jobs were lock outs and both in St Boswells!! The first was for a customers holiday cottage that needed entry quick, so I had the door opened with minutes so they could clean the cottage ready for the immanent arrival of the guests.

Once finished at the holiday cottage my next call out was only 2 minutes away. The job came from a recommendation from a previous customer which is always great! 😃 This was a slightly harder entry as the lock was a 3 ⭐️ high security lock. With perseverance, I had the customer back in his property within 20 minutes or so.

The phone hasn’t stopped ringing today (which is great)! Lots more appointments booked in, with this week now being fully booked! I have plenty of availability next week, so get in touch if you need a locksmith.
