Winter in the Scottish Borders with Hirst Locksmiths.
Just back from a couple of jobs in #Westruther and #stow. I’m very pleased to have made the journey from #Lauder to Stow without coming off the road (though it was very close)!
Though the views were stunning (as shown in the photo), the road was very dodgy! Even at very low speeds, I nearly came off the road! I then approached a car with their hazards on. I wound my window down to check they were ok. The lady looked concerned as she could not make it up the incline as the wheels kept spinning. I reversed 100 meters or so so I could assist. When we removed the snow from the wheels, she decided she was going to turn around and go the long way home. It was maybe the better option as I could not get any grip with my trainers on. Coming home I decided it was best to take the Galashiels road. It just wasn’t worth the risk.
